Ahoy Buccaneers!

Today I have several things to share with you, because with v0.51 we are returning to the main story and starting a new adventure with Carrot!

But before talking about Carrot, I have seen some comments from players who had questions about the new lockpicking minigame, especially on Android. So I want to start with a few quick tips to help you understand how it works.

The minigame only uses two actions: tap or click to test a position, and press and hold to open the lock. You do not need to drag or move the lockpick manually. Try briefly tapping different points on the screen. If the lock does not move, try another position. If it moves a little and then gets stuck, release before the lockpick breaks and try a nearby point. Once you find the correct position, press and hold until the lock opens. It works the same way on PC, although moving the mouse lets you see how the lockpick’s position changes, which makes the system feel more intuitive.

The minigame is not meant to be difficult. If you are struggling with it, you are probably pressing and holding before finding the correct position. I recommend starting with three quick attempts: one on the left, one in the center, and one on the right. Pay attention to which area makes the lock move the most, then keep testing around that area until you find the correct point. Now, let’s talk about Carrot. In v0.51, we travel to Zou, a new island where her story takes place. For those wondering why we are not continuing in Dressrosa, I held a poll, and the winning option was to begin a new story with Carrot.

And here she is: Carrot, the bunny girl who will join us on this new adventure!

Remember that, like every character in Lusty Buccaneers, Carrot is an adult in this adaptation.

With Carrot, I wanted to take another step forward in how the characters express their emotions. Until now, the girls only changed their facial expressions. Carrot now also changes her pose depending on what is happening during the dialogue. This makes her reactions feel more natural and expressive. Here you can see two of her new poses:

It is still too early to confirm an exact release date for the Patreon version of v0.52 and the public version of v0.51. However, if everything goes according to plan, they should arrive around the middle of the month.
